Bhagwati Prasad

My name is Bhagwati Prasad and I run things here in Sojat City at the Chandwala area. It’s a small operation, mostly just me handling the daily tasks that come up. Being in Sojat City, you get to know almost everyone who passes by the front door. The space I work out of is quite basic, just enough room for a desk and some storage. I don't spend much on decorations or making the place look like a showroom because that's not what the work is about. Most days start early before the sun gets too high, getting everything ready for whoever might stop by. It’s a lot of manual tracking and writing things down in ledgers. Sometimes the heat makes you want to close up early, but there’s always something that needs finishing. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so I’ve seen how the streets have changed, but my daily routine stays pretty much the same. People come in with their requirements and I try to help them out as best as I can with what I have available. There are no big speeches or complicated rules here. It’s just about being around and being reliable when someone needs something. The floor gets a bit dusty from the street outside, but that’s just part of being in Chandwala. I keep it simple and just focus on the task at hand. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood here and we stay quite busy.
