Neha Dipartmental Store

Being right by Somnath Temple at number 26 means we see a lot of people every day. Most of them are just passing by after their prayers, looking for a snack or something they forgot to buy for their kitchen. The store is packed with all sorts of things, from soap and shampoo to large bags of flour and pulses. It can be a bit hard to find things sometimes if you don't know where to look, but we know exactly where every single item is hidden on the shelves. We spend a lot of time checking the dates on packets and making sure nothing is sitting there for too long. It is just a neighborhood shop, nothing like those big supermarkets you see in the city. We have a small counter near the door where we keep the candies for the kids who come in with their parents. The floor is concrete and gets a bit worn down from everyone walking in and out all day. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the narrow road outside and we have to hurry to unload everything before the traffic builds up. It’s a lot of lifting and carrying, but it keeps us moving. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just the name over the door and the goods inside. It's a quiet life most of the time, just serving the people who live around here. We don't have many employees, just enough to keep the shelves full and the floor swept.
