Navjyoti Gum & Chemicals

We are located at 55, Somnath Colony, right across from the Old Housing Board. Navjyoti Gum & Chemicals is a name most of the locals here recognize since we’ve been in this spot for a long time. The colony is usually quiet in the mornings, but it picks up as the day goes on and the deliveries start arriving. Our place is basically a large shed and an office area tucked to one side. It’s filled with barrels and bags, so there isn’t much room to walk around if we have a big shipment coming in that day. We spend a lot of time handling the paperwork and making sure the gum and chemicals are stored properly in their sections. It isn’t glamorous work. The floor is stained from years of use, and the walls have seen better days. When the weather is nice, we leave the big doors open to let some air flow through. Across the street, you can see the old apartments of the housing board. It’s a familiar view for all of us here. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat or ask for directions to another unit. We try to keep things organized, but in a business like this, there’s always something that needs fixing or moving. Navjyoti Gum & Chemicals is just a straightforward operation. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big marketing team. It’s just a few of us making sure the orders get out on time. The routine doesn't change much and that is just fine with us.
