Narsing Sandwich Fast Food

Being right here at the Old Bus Stand means we see a lot of people in a hurry. Narsing Sandwich Fast Food has been a part of this busy spot for a while now. We spend a lot of time slicing bread and chopping vegetables like onions and cucumbers into really thin pieces. The griddle is almost always hot because there is usually someone wanting a quick snack before their bus leaves. It’s not a quiet place at all. You can hear the conductors shouting out destinations and the engines idling all day long. We try to keep our pace up so nobody misses their ride just because they were waiting on a sandwich. Sometimes we run out of butter or the bread delivery is late, and then we have to scramble to find some at the local market. The space is small, so we have to be careful not to bump into each other while we work. We use a lot of green chutney and red sauce, and the smell of toasted bread usually hangs in the air around the stall. It gets dusty because of the buses, so we are constantly wiping down the metal counters. It’s honest work, and we get to meet travelers from all over the place. Some people come back every time they pass through this station, which is nice. We don’t have fancy menus, just the things we know how to make well and fast.
