Mahesh Kumar Dhannaram

This is Mahesh Kumar Dhannaram’s shop in the Sojat City Main Market. We’ve been operating out of this same building for many years. It’s a traditional kind of place. We handle a lot of different goods, mostly in bulk or for people who need supplies for their own small businesses. The market is always crowded with carts and motorcycles, so it can be hard to get through the front door sometimes. Inside, it’s a bit dark but cool, which is nice during the summer months. We have stacks of bags and boxes everywhere. I sit at the main desk near the front to keep an eye on things. My brother and I run the place together. We don't really have a fancy way of doing things. We just talk to the suppliers, check the quality of what comes in, and make sure the customers get what they asked for. Sometimes we stay late to finish the paperwork or count the stock. It’s a lot of lifting and moving things around. The main market is the heart of the city, and being here means we see everything that goes on. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop; we just want to do our job properly every day. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. We've seen many businesses come and go, but we are still here, doing things the old-fashioned way. It's a lot of heavy lifting but we are used to it.
