Mahadev General Store

We opened Mahadev General Store a while back on College Road, right in IG Market 5. Every morning, I come in early and start moving stuff around to make a bit of space for the day's stock. People from the nearby colleges stop by all the time for snacks, notebooks, or just some basic household items they ran out of. It’s a small place, and sometimes it gets really crowded in here, especially when the afternoon classes let out. I spend a lot of my time checking the shelves and making sure we haven't run out of the things people ask for most. If we do run out, I try to get it back in stock by the next day. The market can be loud and dusty, but that’s just how life is on this road. It's mostly just me or my brother behind the counter. We know the regulars who come in for their daily milk or a pack of biscuits quite well. It’s a simple business without any big secrets. I don’t think much about expansion or anything like that; I just focus on keeping the doors open and the shelves full for whoever walks in. Sometimes the lights flicker or the floor needs a good sweep after it rains, but we just keep going. It’s nice being part of the neighborhood here. People often talk about their day while they pay for their things. We’ve been at this spot for some time now.
