About Laxman Singh Sanjay Singh Rajpurohit – Art & Craft in Pali
We are Laxman Singh Sanjay Singh Rajpurohit, and you can find us at shop 56 in the Marwar Krishi Upaj Mandi. The mandi is a very active place, especially during the harvest seasons when the tractors are lined up outside. It’s a lot of noise and shouting and bargaining, which is just the way a grain market works. Our shop is just one of many, but we’ve been here long enough that people know the name. It’s a family-run name, as you can tell. We don't go in for fancy branding or logos. We just have our names on the board and our goods in the shop. Working in the Krishi Upaj Mandi means we are up before the sun most days. There’s a lot of paperwork with the market committee, and we spend a fair amount of time just keeping track of everything. It’s a very practical, down-to-earth business. We don't use fancy offices; we sit on the floor or on simple wooden chairs and do our business face to face. The smell of grain and the sound of scales are part of our daily life. We don’t really worry about big corporate growth or complicated plans. We just think about the next load coming in and making sure the farmers get a fair shake. It’s a tough job sometimes, but it’s what we know how to do well enough to keep going year after year.
