Khetlaji Hardware Store

If you are driving along the G T Road in Sojat City, you will see us near the Mod Batta area. This hardware store has been here for a good amount of time. We sell all the usual things like nails, hammers, pipes, and buckets. A lot of our customers are builders or farmers from around the area who need something fixed. The store is usually a bit dusty because of all the cement bags and construction materials we keep near the entrance. I spend a lot of time counting out bolts or cutting lengths of PVC pipe for people. It’s hard work on the back sometimes, especially when we have to move heavy boxes of tiles or metal fittings. We aren't very organized with a computer system; we just know where everything is on the shelves. Sometimes it takes a minute to find a specific size of wrench, but we get there. The road outside is always busy with trucks going past, so it gets noisy during the day. We have a small desk in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s a straightforward business. We wake up, open the shutters, and see who needs help with their house repairs. Most people around here know us by name. We don’t have fancy displays, just the tools and materials stacked up where they fit. It’s a honest way to make a living in Sojat and we like being here.
