Goutam Pan House

So we are here at Goutam Pan House in Falna. It's just a small shop by the road. I usually open up early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Most people around here know where we are. It isn't a fancy place with bright lights or anything like that. We mostly just have the basic stuff people need. I spend a lot of time sitting here and prepping the leaves. You get used to the sound of the traffic passing by. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but that’s just how it is in Falna. I’ve lived here a long time and seen the town change, but the shop stays mostly the same. My hands are usually stained from the lime or the different pastes I use. It’s just honest work. There’s a small bench outside where guys sit and talk about their day. I don’t try to make it look like something it isn’t. We have some cigarettes and various types of pan. The shelf in the back is a bit crooked but it holds the jars well enough. If you walk past, you’ll see me there. I usually have the radio playing some old songs quietly. It’s not about being the biggest shop, it’s just about being here every day for the regulars who stop by on their way home. That’s pretty much the whole story of this place.
