Ganesh Udhyog

You will find Ganesh Udhyog over on Sardar Samand Road, right near the I T I Road junction. It is an industrial sort of area, so there is always the sound of machines running somewhere nearby. We do our work inside a large shed-like building that stays pretty cool even when it is boiling outside. Our clothes usually end up covered in whatever material we are working with that day. We don't have a fancy office for meetings or a receptionist. If someone wants to talk to us, they just come into the workspace and find us. The floor is uneven and we have to be careful where we step with all the tools and scraps laying about. We get our supplies delivered by tractor or small tempo, and we spend the mornings unloading them by hand. It is hard on the back, but it is the job we chose. There is a tea stall just down the road where we go when we need a break from the noise. We don't put up many signs or advertisements. People know where we are because we have been here a long time. The work is steady and we try to get things done by the time the sun goes down. It is a practical life, focused on making things that last for the people who buy them. We just keep our heads down and get the tasks finished one by one.
