My shop, Dhan Laxmi Store, is located right by the Old Bus Stand. It's a busy spot because of all the travelers. People are always rushing to catch a bus and they realize they forgot a toothbrush or some snacks for the ride. I keep a lot of different things, from packets of biscuits to small household items. The building is old, and the space is a bit tight, but we make it work. I remember when the bus stand used to be even busier than it is now. Even though things have changed, we still get plenty of regulars who live nearby. I spend a lot of time organizing the shelves. Every time I think I've finished, a new shipment arrives and I have to find space for it. It gets a bit dusty with all the buses moving around outside. I keep a cloth handy to wipe down the counters every hour. My son helps me out in the evenings after his classes. We talk to people from different villages who are just passing through. It's interesting to hear where everyone is going. The shop doesn't have a big sign or anything, just the name painted above the door. It's a reliable place for the basics. We don't do anything special, just keep the doors open and the stock ready for whoever walks in. Sometimes the power goes out and we use candles, which makes it feel like the old days. It is just a simple life here.
