Dev Narayan General Store

At Dev Narayan General Store, things are pretty straightforward. We are located on Ramdev Road, which is a fairly quiet spot compared to the main markets. The shop is filled with all sorts of bits and pieces that people might forget they need until they run out. We have stationery, some basic medicines, household cleaners, and snacks for the school kids who pass by in the afternoon. The shelves are a bit old and sometimes the light inside flickers, but it serves its purpose. We open up early because there is always someone needing something before the day really starts. Ramdev Road has its own rhythm, and we have become a part of that over the time we’ve been here. We don't have a big team or fancy uniforms. Usually, it's just one or two of us minding the storefront and making sure the inventory is okay. If a customer asks for something we don’t have, we try to get it in the next time we go to the main wholesaler. The floor is concrete and we have a small stool for when things get slow, though that doesn't happen too often. Dealing with change and loose coins is basically what we do all day long. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we like being the place where the neighbors can just walk over in their slippers to grab a loaf of bread or a battery for their remote when the old one dies unexpectedly.
