Bharat General Store

We’ve been here at Moti Chowk for a good while now. Bharat General Store is basically where people stop by when they realize they forgot something for the kitchen or need a quick refill on soap. It gets pretty busy around here, especially in the mornings when everyone is out doing their errands. The shop isn't huge, but we try to keep the shelves packed with the stuff people actually use every day. Sometimes it’s a bit messy when a big delivery comes in, and you might have to wait a minute if I'm in the back moving boxes. That's just how it goes in a local place like this. Most of the regulars know where everything is anyway, sometimes better than I do. We see the same faces every week, which makes the days go by faster. If you’re passing through the chowk, you’ll see our sign right there. We don't have fancy displays or anything, just the usual jars and packets stacked up. It’s mostly about getting what you need and heading home. The cooling fan in the corner makes a bit of a racket, but it helps when the heat picks up. Usually, I'm behind the counter checking things off a list. We don't do anything special, just keep the doors open and the stock ready. It’s a simple living. People come in, chat for a second about the weather, pay, and go. That's our day.
