Annapurna Chat & Misthan Bhandar

We have been running Annapurna Chat & Misthan Bhandar for a good number of years now. If you find yourself at Sadri Panchsil Chouraha, you will see our shop right where the traffic picks up. It is not a very big place, just enough room for the counters and some space for people to stand and eat their chat. Every morning starts the same way. We light up the stoves early to get the milk boiling for the sweets. It gets quite hot in there, especially in the summer months, but we are used to it by now. People stop by on their way to work or when they are out shopping in the market area. We keep things simple. There is no fancy seating or anything like that. Just the smell of frying snacks and the sound of the crowd at the crossroads. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when too many people show up at once for kachoris, but we manage to get everyone their plate eventually. The floor gets a little dusty because of the road right outside, but we try to sweep it whenever there is a quiet moment. It is just a regular local spot where folks come to get a quick bite or take some boxes of sweets home for their families. We do not have a big team, just a few of us working together to keep the trays full and the customers moving along throughout the day.
