Shree Nath Marble

Our yard is in Village Govade, right near the Palghar station area at a place called Khadimachine. It is quite easy to spot us because of all the stone stacked up outside. We handle marble, which is heavy and can be a bit messy with the dust, especially when it’s windy. Being near the station is helpful because people know the landmark. We’ve been in Govade for a good while. The shop isn't a showroom with air conditioning; it’s more of an open area where the slabs are kept. When a customer comes by, we walk them through the rows of marble so they can see the patterns for themselves. We don't use high-pressure sales stuff. We just tell them what kind of stone it is and where it came from. The staff here are locals who know the area well. We spend our days moving blocks, cleaning the surfaces, and talking to contractors. It’s a lot of physical work. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit muddy, but we keep going. We like being part of the Palghar community. It’s a bit slower than the city, and we prefer it that way. We just keep the gates open and wait for whoever needs some stone for their new floor or kitchen. It's a simple life selling marble by the railway tracks. We focus on the daily tasks and make sure each slab is moved carefully so nothing gets cracked or chipped.
