Sargam Masala

Old Bunder Road is a place that feels like it’s been there forever. We are located right in Gol Bazar, which is the heart of the local trade. Sargam Masala fits right in because this whole area smells like various goods being moved around. It is a very busy market. You have to watch where you walk because of all the carts and people carrying heavy loads on their backs. Our space is just a regular shop and work area. We don't have air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just the salt air from the bunder and the smell of the spices we process. We spend our mornings checking the bags that come in. The Gol Bazar crowd is always loud and there is always someone haggling nearby. We just stay focused on our work. The floor is old and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't really matter for what we do. We grind the spices, we weigh them, and we pack them up. It is the same routine every day. Some people have been coming to this area for decades. We are just one of the many businesses trying to get through the day. No big speeches or fancy logos here. Just the spice grinders and the sound of the market outside. It’s a bit chaotic, but we are used to it by now. We just keep our heads down and work. It is enough for us.
