Our office is located in the Shanti Shopping Complex, which is right opposite the railway station in Mira Road East. Because we are so close to the station, you can always hear the trains pulling in and the sounds of crowds rushing to catch them. We handle software that helps people run their cyber cafes and keep track of things. It is a very specific kind of work, and we have been doing it from this same spot for quite a while now. The office is a bit small, and we have a lot of papers and old disks lying around on the desks. It is a busy complex with people coming in and out for all sorts of errands, so there is always some movement right outside our door. We spend a lot of time helping customers over the phone, explaining how to install things or trying to fix a bug in the system. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we do and it keeps us busy. The lighting in the office is a bit too bright sometimes, and the chairs are just okay, but it works fine for us. We often grab a quick vada pav from the stalls near the station when we do not have time for a proper lunch. It is a simple operation, really. Just a few of us in a room near the tracks.
