Sanjay Kirana Store

The store is right here in Vikasapada. It’s a busy little corner in Talasari. We get all sorts of people coming in for their daily stuff like rice, oil, and soap. I open up early every morning because the farmers are already out and about. It can get a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone is getting home from work. We try to keep the shelves stocked, but sometimes deliveries are slow coming into the district. It’s just how things go out here. The kids from the nearby houses usually come in for sweets after school. My family helps out behind the counter when it gets really busy. We’ve been part of this community for a long time now. It’s not a supermarket, just a regular kirana store where you can find the basics. We know most of our customers by name. Sometimes we just sit and talk for a bit while they wait for their change. The floor needs a sweep pretty often because of the dust from the road. We don't have any fancy displays. Everything is just where it’s always been. People know where to find what they need. It’s a steady rhythm every day. We’re just glad to be here serving the folks in Talasari. It's been our home for many years and we don't plan on going anywhere else soon.
