You can find us at Sahyagiri in Snehanagar, which is just by the MIDC in Tarapur. We’ve been here for a while now, working on biotech related to plants. It sounds complicated, but mostly it’s about making sure the local nursery stock and crops are healthy. The office is a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment and sample jars everywhere. Tarapur is an industrial area, so it’s not the prettiest place, but it’s where the work is. We spend a lot of time in the lab or out checking on trials in the nearby fields. There’s about five of us who work here regularly. We don’t have a marketing department; we just show the results to the people who ask. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble to keep the samples cool, but that’s just life in an industrial zone. We like the work because it feels like we’re actually helping the environment in a small way. We aren't looking to expand into some massive firm with hundreds of employees. We just want to do good biotech work and keep our customers happy. The rent is decent and we know all the other shop owners around Snehanagar. It’s a tight-knit community and we’re glad to be a part of it while we do our research and sales. Every day brings a new challenge with the plants, but we enjoy the puzzle of it all. It’s much better than sitting in a city office all day.
