We are set up over here on Jaipur Road in Kankarda, pretty much right next to the Royal Enfield showroom. If you are coming from the main part of Bhonabay, you will see our gates near Mohan Singh Rawat’s property. It is a busy spot because of the highway traffic, but inside the yard, it is mostly just us focused on the processing work. Most of the guys show up around eight in the morning and we get the machines going soon after. It is not a fancy place by any means. There is usually dust on the floors and a bit of noise from the equipment, but that is just how it goes in agriculture. We spend a lot of time checking the bags and making sure everything is sorted right before it leaves the shed. The sun hits the front of the building hard in the afternoon, so we usually keep the big shutters halfway down to stay cool. It is a simple operation where we handle whatever the season brings us. Sometimes we stay late when a big truck comes in unexpectedly, and other times things are quiet enough to have an extra cup of tea out by the road. We have been at this for a while now, just working through the piles of raw stuff that comes in from the local fields. It is honest work, even if the office paperwork gets a bit messy sometimes. We just try to get the day’s work done without too much fuss.
