Mani Place

Mani Place is just a small spot on the Bhayander East Main Road. If you are walking down the street, you’ve probably passed us plenty of times. We don’t have any bright neon signs or anything like that. It’s just a place to get some food and sit down for a minute. We opened up because we wanted to work for ourselves instead of for someone else. My brother and I handle most of the stuff here. One of us is usually at the counter and the other is in the back. It’s a lot of work keeping things running, especially on weekends when the Main Road gets really crowded with shoppers and people heading home. We buy our supplies from the local market nearby every few days. The space isn’t very big, so things can get a bit tight when more than five or six people are inside. We’ve had the same stove since we opened, and it still works just fine. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or advertisements. We figure if the food is okay, people will keep coming back. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but nobody seems to mind it much. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here in the same spot in Bhayander East. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s our job and we take it seriously enough.
