Leelas Creations

Leelas Creations is located at unit number 3 in the Mahesh Sagar Industrial Estate. Working in an industrial estate means there is always the sound of machinery and trucks nearby. Our space isn't very large, but we make the most of it. We have several sewing machines and cutting tables set up. It gets quite dusty because of all the fabric we work with, so we have to sweep the floors at least twice a day. We started this because we liked the idea of making things that people use. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but there is a sense of satisfaction when a batch is finished and ready to go. We don't have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see what we do, they have to come right into the workshop and see us in the middle of it. The lighting isn't the best, but we have some extra lamps for the detailed work. Most of our workers live in the surrounding areas and walk or cycle to work. We have a small corner where we keep a stove for making tea and warming up lunch. It’s a very practical environment. We don't spend money on marketing or expensive furniture. Every bit of profit we make usually goes back into buying more materials or fixing a machine that broke down. It’s just a small local business trying to keep things running day by day.
