Our place, Jewel Impex Pvt. Ltd., is located in Sativali, which is part of Vasai East. We are at House Number 1, Unit 6, on Kaman Road. The Gamdevi Temple is a good landmark to find us. It’s a bit of a trek from the main station, but once you’re here, it’s a busy industrial zone. We’ve been operating from this location for quite some years. The area is full of small and medium units, so there’s always noise from machines and trucks moving about. Our space is pretty basic. We have the production area and a small corner for the administrative stuff. We don’t really have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone knocks, whoever is closest to the door answers it. Most of our days are spent dealing with impex work, which involves a lot of tracking and coordination. The weather in Vasai can get really hot, especially in the afternoons, so the fans are always going. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to get the orders done right and keep things moving. We’ve got a small crew of workers who have been with us for a long time. It’s a lot of manual coordination and making sure the quality is okay before anything leaves the gate. That's pretty much what our life is like here, just staying busy and keeping things simple.
