Bhawani Kirana & General Store

We run the Bhawani Kirana & General Store over in Virar East. Our shop is on Kargil Nagar Road, and it’s a place we are very proud of. We are located right near the Mahakali Mata Temple, so we get a lot of people stopping by on their way to or from their prayers. It’s a typical neighborhood store where you can get almost anything you need for your kitchen or your home. We sell rice, pulses, cleaning supplies, and some snacks for the kids. I have been running this shop with my family for a few years. We know most of the people who live on Kargil Nagar Road by their first names. It’s a very friendly area. The shop is often a bit messy because we are always unloading new crates of goods. We don't have any of those fancy marketing slogans. We just try to keep the shelves full and the prices where people can afford them. During the monsoon, the road can get a bit flooded, but we stay open as long as we can. We have a couple of benches outside where the older men sometimes sit and talk. It feels more like a community hub than just a business. We aren't looking to expand into a big supermarket. We like the small-scale feel of our kirana store. It’s honest, hard work and it keeps us busy from morning until night.
