Bhartiya Nrtiya Darshan

Our dance center is located in Bhayander East, right in Jaisal Park at Row House No A/5. Using a row house for our practice gives us a bit more of a homey and comfortable feel than a regular commercial building or a shop would. We have people coming in for dance practice and lessons throughout the week, mostly in the evenings. The main living area of the house was converted a while ago so there is enough room for everyone to move around and stretch. You can usually hear the sound of the music or the bells coming from the windows if you happen to walk by the lane in the evening. Jaisal Park is a nice enough area, and being in a row house means we have a bit of our own private space for the students. It is not a huge place, so the classes stay fairly small, which is honestly how we like to keep it so everyone gets attention. We have got some thick mats on the floor and some pictures on the walls related to the different classical dances we do here. It is a very local thing; most of the people who come to learn live just a few minutes away in Bhayander. We do not do much advertising at all. People usually just hear about the school from their neighbors or see the kids coming in with their bags for their lessons. It is just about keeping the dance tradition alive and giving people a dedicated place to practice their steps. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors because of the traffic.
