Academic Elixir

You can find us at Shop-1 in Asmita Anita, which is over in Naya Nagar. We are right beside Umrao Hospital, so there is always the sound of ambulances or people rushing around outside. Mira Road is a busy place, and this corner of Thane feels especially hectic most of the time. The shop itself is small and functional. We have a few desks pushed against the walls and a lot of notebooks stacked up on the floor because we ran out of shelf space months ago. The lighting isn't the best, it is just those standard tube lights that flick on after a few tries. We spend a lot of our time just sitting here, helping whoever walks in. Since we are so close to the hospital, people sometimes wander in by mistake looking for a pharmacy, and we have to point them the right way. It is a bit of a lived-in space. The paint is peeling a little near the ceiling because of the last monsoon, and the chairs are all different colors. We don't try to make it look like a corporate office because it isn't one. It is just a local shop where we focus on the books. Usually, there is a half-eaten packet of biscuits on the table and some pens that don't have caps. It is just a normal, messy, working environment where we get the teaching done every day.
