Periyar Engineering Products

Periyar Engineering Products is based in Nida Kanjikode. If you’ve spent any time in Kanjikode, you know it’s mostly about the factories and the industrial lifestyle. We have been in this spot for a long time. It’s not a fancy place with a glass front or a nice lobby. It’s a workshop, plain and simple. The floor is concrete and there are oil stains here and there from the machines. We spend the day dealing with metal and engineering parts. It gets loud, and the smell of grease is always around. We don't really mind it, though. It's just the smell of work. Our team is small, mostly people from the nearby villages who have been with us for years. We eat lunch together under the shade of the roof. The weather in Kanjikode can be really tough, either it is very hot or it is raining so hard you can’t hear yourself think. We don't have a website with professional photos. If you want to see what we do, you just have to come down to Nida and look at the workshop. Most of our business comes from the other plants in the area. We just keep our machines running and try to stay on top of the schedule. There is no corporate talk here, just talk about sizes, measurements, and deadlines. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We open up early and stay until the work is finished. That is just how we do things at Periyar.
