Lakshmi Precision Engineering Co.

Our place is located in Kanjikode, over in the Nida area at 12/850. It’s a bit of a drive for some, but it’s where all the industrial action happens. Lakshmi Precision Engineering Co. started out small and honestly, it still feels that way most days. We deal with precision stuff, so things have to be measured twice. It can be tedious work. The machines run pretty much all day long. The air is always a bit thick with the smell of oil. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we'd rather keep the machines in good shape. It’s a simple operation. We have a few guys who have been with us for years. They know their way around every corner of the shop. Kanjikode is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat, but we get through it. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just want to finish the work on the table and go home to our families. Some days are busier than others, especially when a big order comes in. We don't have a receptionist, so you might have to shout to get someone's attention over the noise. It’s just how we do things here. Life at the shop is predictable, and that’s fine with us. We just keep doing what we know. It's how we've always survived the slow months.
