New Ponnani Traders

We are located at K K Junction in Ponnani, right near the old Shakti Theatre. It is a pretty well-known spot in the area. Our shop, New Ponnani Traders, is where we handle all sorts of goods coming in and out. It’s a trading business, so there are always sacks and boxes piled up everywhere. The floor is made of concrete and it has seen a lot of wear over the years from the handcarts and heavy boots. We don't have any air conditioning, so we keep the big front doors open most of the day to let the breeze in. It gets dusty because of the road right outside, but we try to sweep it out every morning before we start. Most of the people working here have been friends for a long time. We drink tea together in the afternoons and talk about the news or the price of things. Being near the theatre means there is always a bit of life on the street, especially when a new movie is playing. We aren't doing anything fancy here. We just buy and sell and make sure the accounts are kept in our big ledgers. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to hurry to move the stock away from the entrance. It’s just the usual daily grind for us in Ponnani. We’ve been here for years and we know how everything works around here. It is just a steady business that keeps us going through the seasons.
