Koppam Granites Llp

We are located out in Mannengod, right near Cherukode at Anakallingal House. Working with stone is heavy work and there is no way around that. Palakkad can get really hot, so the guys are always sweating while they handle the granite blocks. We spend most of our time outside or in the shed where the cutting happens. The noise is pretty constant once the machines start up in the morning. You can hear it from down the road I think. We have slabs of granite leaning against the walls and piles of smaller stones near the entrance. It is a dusty job, and by the end of the day, everything is covered in a fine gray layer. We have been at this for a bit now, just providing stone for whatever projects are happening nearby. People usually just drop by the house or the yard to see what we have in stock. We don't have a big showroom with lights and stuff. You just see the raw stone as it is. Sometimes the rain slows us down because the ground gets muddy and moving the heavy pieces becomes a real pain. We just take it day by day and try to keep the equipment running. It is a simple operation, mostly just family and a few local workers who know their way around a stone cutter. It's not glamorous but it pays the bills and keeps us busy in the sun.
