Kera Products

Kera Products is based out of the Industrial Development Area in Kanjikode West, specifically at IV/617. Anyone who knows this part of Palakkad understands how incredibly hot it gets during the daytime. Our facility is basically a large shed where we handle all our production and packing work. It’s not exactly a beautiful place to look at, but it works well for our needs. Because we deal with items related to coconuts, the place usually has a faint oily smell that lingers on your clothes. To avoid the worst of the afternoon heat, we start our shift quite early in the morning. The machines make a steady humming noise all day, so you have to speak up to be heard. We have a small group of workers who have stayed with us for quite a while now. Much of the day is spent stacking boxes and moving drums around the concrete floor. We don’t have a big marketing team or a fancy website to show off to the world. Most of our business comes from fulfilling orders for our regular contacts who know us well. The office is just a small room partitioned off from the main floor with a single ceiling fan that never seems to go fast enough. When we get the chance, we eat our lunch together under the shade of a tree outside. It’s a simple, hardworking environment where we don’t try to be anything we’re not. We just make our products and send them out.
