Hykon Solar

We are located in the Kanjikode Industrial Estate. It’s a big area with lots of factories and warehouses around us. Hykon Solar has been based here for a good while. We spend our days working with solar panels and the batteries that go with them. It’s mostly technical work, making sure things are wired up right and the frames are solid. The sun hits the roof of the shed pretty hard in the middle of the day, which I guess is good for what we do. It’s not a quiet place because of all the trucks moving in and out of the estate. We have a lot of stuff moving through the doors. Some days we are just loading pallets and other days we are testing the equipment to make sure it actually works. We don't have a fancy office with leather chairs. It’s mostly metal desks and a lot of tools lying around. People from all over the state send us messages about setting up power in places where the grid doesn't reach. We just try to help them out with whatever we have in stock. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and sometimes getting our hands dirty with grease or dust. We like being in Kanjikode because everything we need is nearby. It’s a practical location for a business like ours. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day until it is time to go home.
