Flyara Coir Export Private Limited is based out of Palakkad, specifically on Marutha Road. If you are driving down Pollachi Road, you will find us at 7/460. We have a couple of units there, 461 and 462 too, because we need the space for all the coir stuff we handle. Palakkad gets really hot, probably the hottest place in Kerala, so our warehouse area can get quite warm in the afternoons. We spend our time dealing with coir products, which is a big thing in this part of the country. There are always trucks coming in and out, and there is a lot of dust from the fibers, but that is just part of the job. We have been here for a while now, working with the local people and trying to send these products to places that need them. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t have any big corporate meetings; it’s mostly just standing around the yard or sitting in the small office area checking the manifest. Sometimes we have tea from the shop down the road while we wait for a delivery. It isn't a glamorous life, but it is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. The location is good because the road connects us easily to the bigger highways, which is important when you are moving heavy loads of coir every day. There are no fancy signs, just the work getting done as it should.
