Tropical Hues

Tropical Hues is located out in Kizhakkekara, near the Bkanhirapuzha post office. It’s a quiet area, and we like it that way. Most of what we do involves the local environment and the colors you see around here. We aren't some big city corporation. We’re just a local group working out of a small space. The weather here can be pretty humid, which helps with what we do, but it makes the afternoons a bit slow. We spend a lot of time outside or in the workshop. People from the village know us, and we mostly get by through word of mouth. There’s a lot of greenery around the office, and sometimes it feels like the plants are taking over. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy lobby. It’s just a desk, some tools, and a lot of work to get through. If you’re heading toward the post office, you’ll likely pass us. We focus on the practical side of things, making sure the colors and textures are right for whatever project we have on hand. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with paint or dirt everywhere, but that’s the reality of it. We just do our thing here in Kizhakkekara and try to keep things moving. It’s a simple life and simple work, really. We have been here for a long time and don't plan on going anywhere else anytime soon. We just keep our heads down.
