Radhe Drip Irrigation

I've been around Ramapuram for a while now. Most people here know us because we spend a lot of time out in the fields. It gets pretty hot and dry, and plants need water. We mostly work with the pipes and those little drippers. Sometimes we get stuck with a leak or a clogged line, but that's just how it goes with irrigation. My hands are usually dirty from the soil. We don't have a big fancy office, just our place in Idiyanal. It's quiet here. We started doing this because we saw how much water gets wasted on the local farms. It's a lot of walking around and checking joints. My cousin helps out when it's busy season. We mostly just talk to farmers over tea and figure out where the main line should go. It's not complicated work but it takes time to get it right. If the pressure isn't high enough, the end of the field stays dry. We try to avoid that. Last week we had a pipe burst near the road. It took half the day to fix. Anyway, that is what we do here in Kottayam. Just keeping the crops green without wasting the well water. It’s hard work under the sun but it feels okay when you see the water dripping slowly right where it needs to be.
