Hazeeb Tiles Co.

Hazeeb Tiles Co is located at 1C on Thiruvegapura Road, and we’ve been operating out of this small space for a good while. It isn’t the biggest shop you will find, but we manage to fit quite a lot inside those walls. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floors. We started this business because my father knew a lot about stone and materials, and it just felt natural to keep it going. Most days, it is just us and a couple of workers lifting boxes and checking the inventory. We don't have a secretary or anything like that. If the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. Dealing with suppliers is the toughest part because sometimes the colors don't match the last batch perfectly. We have to explain that to the folks who come in to buy. They usually understand once they see the tiles in person. We have a small desk in the corner where we keep all the papers, though it’s usually buried under a layer of stone dust. It’s a messy job, and your clothes are always ruined by the end of the week. But we like being on Thiruvegapura Road. The people around here are friendly, and we have a good routine that keeps us moving from morning until we close the shutters.
