Swathi Concrete Bricks

Swathi Concrete Bricks is located out at Plot No. 7-23 in the village of Ongole. We are right on N.H.-5 in the Prakasan district, so we see a lot of highway traffic zooming past all day long. Being on the national highway is great for getting trucks in and out, but the noise never really stops. We make concrete bricks right here on the plot. It’s a dusty, hands-on kind of business. We’ve got stacks of bricks everywhere you look. Most of the people working here are from around the village. We started this because there was a lot of building happening in Prakasan and people needed bricks for their houses and projects. It’s not a complicated setup. We have the machines, the raw materials, and a bit of space to let the bricks dry. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when the rains come heavy off the highway, but we manage. You can see our sign from N.H.-5 if you’re looking closely at the plot numbers. We don't have a fancy office, just a small shed where we keep the books and take a seat when it's hot. It’s honest work, and we like being part of the local community in Ongole. If you're driving down the highway and see piles of gray bricks, that is probably us. We just keep making them, one batch at a time, every day.
