Kavi Brick Industries

Our yard is out in Chimakurthy at 7-457. If you know the area at all, it’s not hard to find us. We make bricks. It’s heavy work and there is always red dust on everything, including our clothes, by the end of the shift. Kavi Brick Industries started because there was a real need for building materials around here as the town grew. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or billboards. The bricks speak for themselves when they get used in a house wall. The kiln stays hot most of the year. Some days are longer than others, especially when the weather isn't helping us dry the clay out like we need. We have a small crew working here. Most of the guys have been with us for years now. We know each other's families and what's going on in the neighborhood. It's a local operation. We don't have a big corporate board or anything like that. It's just us at the site, making sure the truck loads get sent out to the construction spots on time. Sometimes the trucks are late but we try to manage. Living and working in Chimakurthy has its own rhythm. We see the same faces every day. It's honest work. If you need to find us, just look for the stacks of finished bricks near the main road. We don't use much fancy technology here, just the machines that work and our own hands. It gets the job done for the people who need it.
