If you're looking for us, we're at E-386 Tankey Line in the Tezu Township. This is up in the Lohit district of Arunachal Pradesh. Hills Safari Travels is a small local outfit. We started this because we know these hills better than anyone else and figured we could help people get around. It's a modest office in Block-VI, nothing fancy at all. We have some maps on the wall and a couple of old desks where we handle the bookings and paperwork. Dealing with travel in this part of the country can be a bit unpredictable because of the weather and the roads, but we've seen it all. We don't have a big fleet of cars, just a few reliable ones and drivers who know the routes well. Most of our work is just talking to people and figuring out the best way to get them from one point to another safely. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking road conditions or confirming guest house stays. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We don't really do big advertising; people usually find us through word of mouth or by just walking into the office in Tezu. We like to keep things straightforward and honest about what to expect when traveling through the hills. It’s a beautiful place to live and work, even if it keeps us very busy during the tourist season. We just do our best to make sure every trip goes smoothly.
