Wood Decor

Down on the Outer Ring Road, right in the middle of the Marbel Market in Mangolpuri, you will find our shop, Wood Decor. We are specifically at Khasra No 28/20/1, which is quite close to the Police Line Chowk. The air around here always smells like cut wood and sawdust, which I guess is better than smelling like car exhaust. We spend most of our time working with different types of timber. Whether someone wants a simple frame or something a bit more solid for their home, we try to get it sorted. The shop isn't very quiet because there is always a saw running or someone hammering something together. Mangol Puri Kalan is a busy place for building materials, so we fit right in. We aren't a big showroom with lights and air conditioning. It’s more of a workshop where we actually get our hands dirty. Sometimes customers come in with a drawing on a piece of scrap paper, and we have to figure out how to make it work. It’s practical work and it keeps us on our toes. We have been at this location for a good while, and we’ve seen the market change a lot. But people still need wood for their houses, so we just keep at it. It’s a bit messy and loud, but that’s how we like it. We’re just regular people doing our job.
