Our place is located at A-37 in the Badli Extn area. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren’t used to the roads, but we’ve been settled in this spot for quite some time. We work on gensets mostly. There is always the sound of an engine humming or someone clanking a wrench against metal. The floors aren’t exactly spotless, but that’s because we are actually working. We get a lot of grease on our hands every single day. It’s a small team, and we all know each other’s habits by now. Lunch usually happens together around a small table in the back. We see a lot of different people coming through for parts or to ask about repairs. The building itself is older, but it holds up well. We don’t have any big signs or flashing lights. If you look for the gate at A-37, you’ll find us easily enough. Sometimes it’s quiet, but usually, there’s a lot of activity with loading and unloading. We try to keep things organized, though it doesn’t always look that way to an outsider. It’s just how we run things here. We focus on the engines and making sure they run when they are supposed to. No fancy talk, just the mechanical stuff we deal with day in and day out. It suits us just fine. The tea stall down the road knows our order by heart because we’re there every morning. It's a rough and ready kind of life.
