Surya Gem & Crafts

We operate out of Sector-4 in Rohini, at A-3/44. It’s a mix of a workshop and a small storage space for all the gems and craft items we have. There are stones everywhere, some polished and some just sitting in crates waiting to be worked on. It’s a bit of a hobby that turned into a full-time thing for us. The neighbors know us because of the occasional grinding noise from the tools. We have a small table where we sort through the pieces under a bright lamp. It’s tedious work, but we like seeing the finished product. Rohini is a big area, but our street is relatively quiet compared to the main markets. We get a few walk-ins, mostly people from around the block who saw our sign. We don't have a big showroom or anything like that. It's mostly just shelves with containers full of beads and stones. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack things in the hallway. The tea guy comes by twice a day, which is the highlight for the guys working the stones. We’ve been at this address for several years now. It’s homey in a way, even with all the dust from the crafts. We just do our work and hope the customers are happy with what they get. It gets a bit messy but that is how crafts go.
