Standard Capacitors

Our place is located at B70/43 in the DSIDC Complex, which is part of the Lawrence Road Indl. Area. It’s one of those spots that’s always active, with trucks loading and unloading all day long. Standard Capacitors has been tucked away in this complex for a good while. The building is pretty much what you’d expect from an industrial area—functional and a bit grey, but it gets the job done for us. We don't have a big reception desk or anyone to greet you at the door. Usually, you’ll just find one of us sitting at a desk or moving boxes around. The Lawrence Road Indl. Area can be a bit tricky to navigate if you aren't used to the layout of the DSIDC units, but B70/43 is home to us. We’ve got some old metal shelves that have been here since the beginning and they’re still holding up fine. It gets a bit chilly in the winter mornings, but we just brew a pot of tea and get on with things. Standard Capacitors is a small operation, so everyone does a bit of everything. We aren't interested in looking corporate or polished. We just like having a steady place to work where we know where the tools are and the neighbors are friendly enough. It’s just a regular workday for us in the Lawrence Road Indl. Area, keeping things moving along. We’ve got an old radio that only picks up two stations, but it’s enough to keep the silence at bay while we pack up for the day.
