Shree Karni Transport

Our yard is located at A 48 Daya Basti, right in the Shahzada Bagh area. If you come by, you’ll mostly see a lot of trucks and drivers waiting for their next load. It’s a pretty basic setup with a small office where we keep track of all the logbooks and delivery notes. The ground is mostly dirt and gravel, so it gets a bit muddy when it rains, but the trucks don’t seem to mind. We spend most of our time coordinating where the vehicles are going and making sure the cargo is loaded safely. It’s a lot of phone calls to drivers out on the road and checking on mechanical issues. Being in Daya Basti means we are pretty close to the main routes, which helps with getting things moving quickly. We don't have any fancy technology, just some old desks and a few clipboards to keep things organized. The days start very early, usually before the sun is even up, so we can get the first batch of trucks out of the city before the traffic gets too bad. Sometimes things go wrong, like a tire blows out or a road is closed, and we just have to figure it out as we go. It’s a tough business with long hours, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep the wheels turning and try to stay on schedule. Most of us have been in transport for years.
