Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital

Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital is basically where a lot of us spend our days and nights. Being over at 205 Doctors Hostel means we are right in the middle of everything that happens here. It isn't a fancy place with gold walls, but it works for what people need. We see a lot of folks coming through the doors every day, some just for a quick check and others staying a bit longer because they really have to. It gets pretty loud sometimes with all the movement, but that's just how a hospital is. The staff mostly knows each other well because we live and work so close together. When someone walks in, they usually just want to get sorted out and go home, and we try to help with that. There’s always someone on duty, even when the rest of the city feels like it’s sleeping. It’s a lot of paperwork and making sure the beds are ready for whoever comes next. We deal with all sorts of medical stuff, some of it is pretty routine and some of it keeps us on our toes. You get used to the smell of disinfectant and the sound of trolleys moving in the halls. It’s just a regular part of life for us here. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just the hospital and the people who come to us when they aren't feeling their best.
