Apollo Hospital

Apollo Hospital has a spot here at C-78 Farmer Society in Sector 13 of Rohini. It’s a bit different from the huge hospitals you see in the movies because we are right here in the middle of a residential society in New Delhi. We have doctors coming in and out and people waiting in the lobby for their turn. It’s usually pretty quiet inside compared to the busy streets of Rohini but sometimes it gets crowded if there is a bug going around. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors and making sure the chairs are lined up. There’s always that smell of spirit and medicine in the air which you get used to after a while. We aren't here to do big fancy speeches about health. We just register the patients and make sure they see the right person for their cough or their check-up. The staff here is mostly local folks who live nearby so we know a lot of the families who come in. Sometimes the waiting time is a bit long and people get frustrated but we try to keep things moving as fast as the doctors can work. It’s a lot of paperwork with files and insurance forms that have to be filled out just right. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day to help the people who walk through our door.
