Robin Chemical Works

Robin Chemical Works has two spots, one at K-229 in Sector 5 of the Bawana Industrial Area, and another at E-12 in Mahindra Park, Azadpur. Most of the heavy lifting and mixing happens over in Bawana where the industrial sheds are. It’s a place of big blue drums, plastic jugs, and the distinct smell of cleaning agents and raw chemicals. We wear boots and gloves most of the day because things can get messy when you are pouring and blending liquids. It is hard work, especially when the sun hits the tin roofs in the summer and the warehouse gets really hot. Over at the Azadpur location, it’s more about the distribution and talking to the people who buy from us. We’ve been at this for a long time, so we know how the chemicals react and what goes into making a good batch. We don’t have a fancy laboratory with white coats; it’s more of a practical workshop where we use our experience to get the mixtures right. Trucks come in and out all day long, taking our products to different parts of the city. We don’t do any big advertising. We just focus on making sure the containers are sealed tight and the labels are on straight. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we take it seriously because that is what keeps the business going year after year.
