About Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital – Medical & Healthcare in North West Delhi
Over in Sector 5, Rohini, we have the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital, and specifically the Department of Pathology. This part of the hospital is where a lot of the behind-the-scenes work happens every day. It is full of microscopes, glass slides, and technicians in white coats. We do not see as many patients face-to-face as the main wards do, but we handle all the samples and tests that come through. It is a very focused environment. The rooms are filled with the hum of machines and the clinking of test tubes. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped because there is so much equipment packed into the space. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and writing down results in big ledgers. It is not the most exciting place to look at, just lots of counters and storage cabinets for files. We try to stay organized, but when there are hundreds of tests to run in a day, the desks can get a bit messy with paperwork. The air is always a bit cool because of the climate control needed for the machines to run properly. People outside in the main hospital might not think about what happens in pathology, but we are working hard here. We have been in this Rohini location for many years now. It is a serious place because the work we do is important for the doctors upstairs to know what to do next.
