Platima Cables Industries

Platima Cables Industries is based out of H-1254 in the DSIIDC Industrial Park in Narela. If you’ve ever been to Narela, you know it’s a huge area filled with all kinds of factories. Our unit is just one of many, but we’ve made it our own over the years. We make different types of cables, so the floor is usually covered with large wooden drums and rolls of wire. It’s a big, open shed kind of space. The air is often hot, especially when the machines are running full tilt. We have a lot of workers who come in from the nearby areas to help with the production. It’s not the kind of place you’d come to for a fancy meeting. It’s a factory through and through. We spend our days making sure the machines are fed with raw material and the finished cables are coiled properly. Sometimes there are delays with the electricity or the raw material trucks get stuck in traffic, but we just deal with those things as they come. The DSIIDC area is pretty organized, but it’s still a rugged place to work. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just make cables and try to keep the quality decent so people keep coming back. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping an eye on the output, but we’re proud of what we do here.
