Pawan Dairy

If you live in Rohini Sector 25, you might have passed by Pawan Dairy at B-81. We are the ones who open up earliest in the morning, usually before the sun is even up. That is when the milk trucks arrive and we have to unload everything quickly. It is cold work in the winter but you get used to it after a few years. We sell fresh milk, curd, and some other basic grocery items that people need for their breakfast. The shop is always a bit damp because we use a lot of ice to keep the dairy products cold. We have a few big refrigerators that hum loudly all day long. Local residents come in with their steel containers or just grab a few packets of milk on their way home. We don't have any fancy signs or bright lights. It’s just a plain shop with a counter and some crates stacked up. Sometimes the neighborhood dogs wait outside hoping for a little scrap. We know everyone’s name and how much milk they usually buy every day. It’s a very simple business but it keeps us connected to everyone in B-81. We don't have much time for sitting down during the morning rush. By the afternoon things quiet down and we can finally clean up the floor. We’ve been here a long time and the people in Sector 25 are like family to us. It’s just a normal dairy doing normal work every single day.
